Booked is an oil painting on wrap around canvas, and the color continues on the side. I love reading, and I love books!
For this piece, I was attracted by an advertisement, of all things, for Aegean Blue, the "color of the year 2021".
I then focused on arranging a group of colors that pleased me as I played with shapes, angles and details.
I realized, after the fact, that colors reminded me of the turquoise walls and blond wood furniture of my childhood home.
Who says you can't go home again?
